Today, I am going to run through a list of all of my favorite sustainable and reusable swaps. Through my journey of making my life more eco-friendly, I have come across a few products I really recommend. I will be including company names, prices, and some additional information about the product. Let's begin!
Virgol Reusable Plastic Bags ($16.99 for a twelve pack with varying sizes)

These are my absolutely favorite reusable plastic bags. I have had my set of these bags for about a year and a half, after my friend introduced me to them for my birthday. They are extremely durable, leakproof, and come in many sizes to store all kinds of foods. These have proved to be very useful for me, and I typically use them multiple times throughout the week.

2. Smart Sheep Wool Dryer Lint Balls ($16.95 for a pack of six)

If you're looking for a way to save money, avoid harsh chemicals, and cut down on drying time, this is the perfect eco-friendly product for you. These are high-quality, and a perfect swap for the conventional dryer sheets. Not only are they reusable and help reduce landfill waste, they will end up saving you money that would have been spent on dryer sheets. My family has been using these for years, and we all recommend this brand.

3. Simple Ecology Reusable Produce Bags ($15.95 for a pack of six)

These are some of my favorite produce bags. I use them when I am bulk buying items such as beans or nuts, and we also use them to buy fresh produce (although, make sure not to store the fresh produce in this bag- it will dry the produce out and make it moldy). These are great quality, and have lasted me over a year. They come in varying sizes, and are useful for any grocery store trip. These include the tare weight on the tag, to help shopping in bulk.

4. S SALIENT Glass Tupperware ($29.99 for a pack of 9)

Glass containers are honestly incredible. Not only do they protect you from plastic leeching into your food (so no chance of micro plastics), but they are reusable for years. We have some of the same containers that we had when I was little (no joke). This brand is closest to my favorite one at home, and they are definitely worth it. Totally dishwasher and oven safe, these are worth the buy. They don't stain, and will keep your food fresh. Help yourself and the world out by picking up some glass containers!

5. Literally ANY Brand Of Reusable Water Bottle

This might be the most simple and effortless swap around. There are so many affordable and stylish water bottles that will reduce your carbon footprint and keep your water clean. I personally love the YETI brand, but any type of reusable bottle is perfect. Keep that plastic out of your body and the landfills!

6. AYOTEE Kitchen Garbage Bags ($18.99 for a pack of 60)

I'll be honest, I've been looking around for an actually 100% compostable trash bag, and I think I've found a good option. These seem to be a really great brand and the reviews are very positive. I'm going to do some more research and potentially buy my family some of these. Most garbage bags are made from non-renewable fossil fuels, so making this swap will help the planet more than you know. Reduce on plastic pollution and make trash day a little less harmful.

7. Mioeco Reusable Unpaper Towels ($20.95 for a pack of 10)

These absorbent "unpaper" towels are the perfect swap for conventional paper towels. These can be used as a multi-purpose product, and are chemical free. These will last you a long time and are perfect for any spill around the house. According to Norway Movement, if every household in America used one less 70-sheet paper towel roll, we could save 544,000 trees in a year. Help the trees out and go paper towel-free!

8. Helping Out Mother Earth Natural Sponges ($12.99 for a pack of 10)

These sponges are made from 100% sustainable and plant based materials, and are another good swap for paper towels. These are durable, have zero-plastic waste and come in 100% recyclable packaging. They are biodegradable, and perfect for an eco-friendly lifestyle. Say goodbye to oil-based plastic sponges, and say hello to a natural coconut fiber sponge.

9. ANY Brand Of Reusable (Metal) Straws

This is one of the most popular and simple sustainable swaps. Plastic straws are so harmful to marine wildlife, and break down into small particles that release harmful chemicals into the soil, air, water, and are so damaging to the overall quality of our environment. Plastic straws are too small to be recycled, so they end up going to the landfills by the millions. Metal straws are a great alternative and can fit right into your bag. I will link one highly rated brand, but any metal straw will work perfectly.

10. Secura French Press Coffee Maker ($38.99 for a 50-ounce coffee maker)

My family has been using a french press for a few years now, and we absolutely love it. A french press makes incredible coffee, without using any electricity (besides boiling the water separately). We personally use the LeMeilleur french press, but it is currently unavailable on Amazon. This brand is the closest (and is almost the exact same) to the one we have at home. We even have a mini one-cup french press maker, which my Mom loves using at work or for an afternoon coffee. These are cost-effective, and are the most eco-friendly way to make coffee. Drink your morning coffee without any eco-anxiety!
